Matteo Lamandini, talented Fashion Design graduate from Istituto Marangoni in 2013, was selected for the “5+5: file established designers support five emerging designers” initiative by Altaroma – active centre of haute couture in Italy and outstanding springboard for emerging designers – and Vogue Talents. The exhibition, which has been opened on 11th July in Rome, at Palazzo delle Esposizioni, is meant to support emerging talents through the experience of already successful designers: a unique case of mentoring amongst new generations. Matteo was supported by MSGN, well-established Milanese brand started in 2009 as the brainchild of Massimo Giorgetti in partnership with Paolini Group. The selection within the “5+5” project confirms Matteo Lamandini’s cleverness; after graduating from Istituto Marangoni, he also won “Designer for Tomorrow”, a fashion talent show created by US designer Tommy Hilfiger which awards the best fashion design talent on the world stage, held within Berlin Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in July.
