name and surname: Andrea Meszaros course: Luxury and Fashion Brand Management · master's course · postgraduate programme school: London Fashion School country: UK Andrea Meszaros is a multilingual masters student and MA student representative at Istituto Marangoni London, specializing in Fashion and Luxury Brand Management with prior international degree in Economics. Her main areas of interest are luxury, fashion and art, which are taught through many different perspectives in the course. The artwork was created within the frames of the Strategic Brand Management Unit’s live project with Alexander McQueen, where participants had to analyse the brand’s identity and strategy, providing a critical analysis and a suitable proposal for its further development. A gap was discovered between the brand’s identity during the lead of the two different creative directors that have led it in the past, as the founder, Lee Alexander McQueen was considered highly theatrical, whereas Sarah Burton, the new creative director is more sophisticated and romantic. Therefore, it could be an amazing possibility for this artistic label to introduce its garments in the theatre as well, where Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet seems a perfect combination of the two different personalities, being dramatic and romantic at the same time. The trailer is about an imaginary theatre play of Shakespeare's “Romeo & Juliet” in collaboration with the British luxury fashion brand Alexander McQueen, with the suggestion of introducing the McQueen garments in the Royal Opera House. Our team consisted of fashion design students from Istituto Marangoni, acting students from RADA, film students from London Met University and photography students from UWL.
