July 18th, 2014. Isko awarded the winners of the first edition of Isko I-Skool, a contest designed for the students of major fashion schools around Europe. Among them, two talents from Istituto Marangoni: Ruhi Tamer Cogal and Ilaria Marianna Tomasella. İ-SKOOL ™, organised by Isko, a global leader in the production of denim fabric, and Creative Room, ISKO’s design research centre in Italy, is a project aimed at encouraging and enhancing the creativity of young talents by involving some of the most important fashion design schools in a "talent award" for students. The winners showcased their creations on the catwalk during a special event organised by Isko in Treviso last July 18th, and hosted by Marco Lucietti, global marketing director at Sanko / Isko. The European design and fashion schools involved are all internationally renowned, and among these Istituto Marangoni was proud to have two of its students being awarded. Ruhi Tamer Cogal won the prize in the “Authentic Mood” category. He reinterpreted work wear with interesting details such as patching and knitted collars. The graduate Ilaria Marianna Tomasella, instead, received the "Swarovski Contest" prize for a dress that "resulted from the influence of different themes, namely men’s sleepwear and recycling, which were the chosen moods for the Isko project" as she herself pointed out. The winners will be offered a series of internships at the companies sponsoring the event, including major brands like Moleskine, Gas, Menabò Group, and of course the Swarovski Group.
