Founder of the 2011 men's clothing brand Two Italian Boys with his friend Roger Cortellino, De Santis is also the Creative Director and founder of Cordesign. Born and raised in a traditional family, he studied fashion design in London at Istituto Marangoni. His creativity and talent for fashion were encouraged by his teachers, and he was the only one to be sponsored by Swarovski and to get the final parade in the Victoria and Albert Museum. From then on Ruggiero worked with Ann-Sofie Back, Alexander McQueen and Burberry. Being part of a team that simultaneously designs, manufactures and sells not only strengthened his creativity, says De Santis, but helped him to understand the commercial side of fashion.
Two Italian Boys, entirely produced in Italy, is aimed at the modern gentleman wanting something fresh and contemporary. Its mission is to innovate within tradition. Elegant but not formal, the new men's line is for those who have rediscovered the art of dressing well.
The first two collections were presented at Pitti Uomo in Florence and Bread and Butter in Berlin. Ruggiero's work has appeared in many magazines, such as Wallpaper, Fashion Capital, WGSN, Style People, Grazia.it, Fashion, Vogue and Vanity Fair Italy.
