Bravacasa event Indonesia

Indonesia, Jakarta 17th-20th July 2014. Istituto Marangoni will participate in the 2014 Bravacasa event for the second consecutive year running, this time offering the expertise and perspective of Elena Porqueddu, a valuable Architectural Design and Project Development teacher who’s been collaborating with the School since 2008.

She will conduct a lecture entitled “Transforming Space Through Light,” at the annual Casa Talk event organized by Bravacasa and Bazaar Magazine. The aim is to explore the ways in which light can be a ‘building material’ that is able to redefine and reinvent the everyday experience of urban space. The lecture has been organized thanks to the collaboration with Istituto Marangoni Information Centre in Jakarta.

Bravacasa and Bazaar are two of the main lifestyle magazines in Indonesia, both part of MRA media group, that have come together again this year to celebrate home design and provide excellent insight into the world of contemporary architecture and stylish living. Hosted in the ballroom of Ritz Carlton Pacific Place Hotel, Casa Talk is the most prestigious interior and product design shows in Jakarta.

Like every year, numerous visitors are expected to attend the event, including students, professionals, and professors who will actively participate in talk shows and presentations. Casa Talk 2014 will also host the Bravacasa Design Contest, where participants will be presenting design projects for Furniture, Kitchenware, and Lighting categories. There will be prizes awarded for the best work, as well as the favourite chosen by visitors.

As part of the jury, Porqueddu will also award the winner of the “Best of The Best” category with an IM Short Course Full package.
