ITALIAN FASHION TRIP

ITALIAN FASHION TRIP

Students of Shanghai Training Centre’s hottest course – FASHION DESIGN Professional Progressing Course - have been offered a glamourous benefit this summer: the ITALIAN FASHION TRIP, aimed at getting ‘future designers’ to explore the world-class fashion country as early as possible.

11 students spent 10 days in Florence and Milano to experience their dream trip to Italy. They visited Pitti Uomo, the world's largest menswear show, the Gucci museum, and the Uffizi Gallery in Florence; they also met Aldo Fallai, one of the most renowned fashion photographers in Europe, for a city tour and dinner together. In Milano, they visited Ratti S.p.a., one of the major textile fabric suppliers for Hermes, Givenchy, Prada, Valentino and many other luxury brands. Students also attended 4 lessons at Istituto Marangoni Milano, participated in the Degree Show and Graduation Ceremony, and were invited to the final ceremony for the Slowear competition.

‘The trip was a great chance for us to have a close look at the world’s leading cities for fashion, we all feel that now we have a more positive understanding of the fashion world, this experience will definitely help us further our study here in Shanghai. We are very grateful to our school for providing us this unique opportunity’ said one of the students.
