“Fashion Culture. Istituto Marangoni: icon of fashion and design”. A luxury coffee table book about the 80 years history of Istituto Marangoni, amid celebrity designers, the international vocation of the school and its commitment to Italian excellence. Available in book stores since 15th October. Published by Rizzoli, prefaced by Cristina Morozzi, Director of Education of Istituto Marangoni Milano The School of Design and introduced by Franca Sozzani, Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Italia the exclusive coffee table book, dedicated to the 80th Anniversary of the school, pays homage to some of the most outstanding alumni and successful professionals who have contributed to enhance the heritage of the school over these extraordinary years. A narration that recounts the creative universe of Istituto Marangoni, a selection of notes, interviews and memories as a witness of the school’s dedication to nurturing the talent of future Fashion and Design professionals starting from the concept of “Made in Italy” and the legacy of Italy’s craftsmanship. 65 delightful portraits shot by the master of photography Aldo Fallai complete the sketch of Istituto Marangoni’s thriving years alongside fashion. “This book is the story of a creative forge that welcomes aspiring designers from all over the world and turn them into successful professionals, able to spread the ideals based on the "italianness": knowledge, sense of beauty and excellence in doing" - says Roberto Riccio, Group Managing Director of Istituto Marangoni – “Today the school is a well-established and recognized workshop of global aesthetic, a place where fashion becomes culture and therefore able to shape the future icons of the fashion system, those capable of becoming cult and to be part of the restricted élite ‘Fashion Culture’, from which the book takes its title.”
