Hierarchically reporting to: Director of Education

Job summary

The job provides precise and timely student service and academic service support, data analysis for student questionnairs, and other supporting work relative to the service specialist. The role will include the organizing and warranting of a high standard management of the Reception and the Library, including purchasing of the printing and other materials in The Shanghai Fashion Training Centre.

Key purpose of the role

  • To be responsible for all the document management of student enrollment and archiving of student services
  • To prepare the timetable for all courses
  • To prepare the tutor manual
  • To produce the occupancy plan for each academic year
  • To organise and re-organise where necessary in the academic calender
  • To support the Chief Operating Officer (COO) Mainland China and Director of Education in the course and teacher assignment planning
  • Undertake activity of student reception when required
  • Manage student concerns and complaints
  • To prepare the information for the attendence letter
  • To register the letters for ‘exeptional circumstance’
  • Prepare letters when required for ‘disciplinary ‘ warnings to students
  • Register and monitor the level of performance of the students
  • To manage the studentvoice process, ensuirng the the Training Centre Directors receive the feedback
  • Support the Director of Education in organising meetings with academic staff
  • Prepare the diploma certification for students completing their studies where appropriate
  • To support the admission department to make sure the correct tuition fee collection for credit card payment when requested by School Director
  • Participate in the organisation of all the events in the Training Centre
  • To ensure the opening and closing of the Training Centre, maintaining security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; regularly monitor the coming in and going out of the Training Centre
  • To welcome visitors, providing them with necessary information and/or orientation
  • To manage the switchboard with incoming phone calls, take notes and forward messages to the relevant offices
  • To manage the storeroom in the Training Centre
  • To manage the library properly and to manage books and the material in use for academic research

Education and skills

  • BA Degree
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in the education sector
  • Experience in the education sector preferable
  • Excellent communication skills and team player
  • Good technical knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Macintosh environment
  • Mother tongue Mandarin and English IELTS level 6.5 (mandatory)
  • Residing in Shanghai
  • Interest in Fashion, Design and Arts field
  • Based locally
