Short form video production
Every day in the world billions of people publish and watch online ‘short-form’ videos; all these videos are produced and uploaded online to be viewed by as many people as possible.
This course introduces participants to the key production techniques and sharing methods of short videos at a professional level. The whole course is structured as a production laboratory where tutors will show participants tools necessary in the realization of a professional short-form video. Profiles specialized in the production of short-form videos are much sought-after by production companies for the development of advertising campaigns and web digital content.
During the first week participants will be introduced to the world of short-form videos; through an analysis of some of the most noted examples production techniques such as stop motion and motion graphic will be illustrated. They will work on a story for the creation of a short-form video, and create a related storyboard. Classes will also begin to include key notions in Adobe After Effects software used to develop videos in the final week of the course.
During the second week participants will start planning the production of their short- form video and will experiment with different techniques for optimization and production.
Investigation of communication agencies and production companies will also provide a better understanding of the production processes, from the initial concept to the final stages of production.
During the last week focus is on production: participants will have an opportunity to shoot their video, edit, and post-produce it. At the end of the process specific channels will be created on web platforms (YouTube, Vimeo), where videos produced during the course may be uploaded.
