Today, sustainability is an essential quality that must be present in order to appear credible in the international scene and the world of fashion is paying close attention to the themes related to sustainable development, from the improvement of the production process to its communication. On this course participants will have the opportunity to analyze sustainability as an essential quality in fashion, and as a vital tool for building a reputation as a credible player in the international fashion system.

The course takes an interesting look at a series of initiatives launched in the textile, clothing and accessories sectors, which have led to the creation of the ethical garment as a key component of an aesthetic and active, or socially correct lifestyle.
By adopting a strategic approach to the concept of sustainability, participants will analyze the impact of sustainable issues on fashion production processes, and the changes required to implement new sustainable company policies.

The course takes a look at the production chain and the production systems of eco-sustainable fibers and fabrics, their uses and properties, analyzing interesting case studies of companies that have already adopted, and successfully implemented, sustainability as a key factor in innovation; including corporate social responsibility (CSR).

The life cycle of the fashion product has changed over the years, continuously increasing the frequency of purchases via the fact that
products quickly become obsolete, or via fast fashion market options. During the course participants will examine product lifecycles, as well
as sociological aspects of a fashion product, including image, durability, and consumption, enabling them to understand more in depth the
evolution of the supply chain, and how designers create and design a sustainable fashion collection.

During the course participants will also learn about strategic communication tools used to increase brand value, and promote sustainable
production processes to give a competitive market edge.
