HR Manager (12 month FTC)

Role: HR Manager (12 month Fixed Term Contract)
Hierarchically reporting to: School Director
Functionally reporting to: Group HR Director
Location: London

Job summary

The purpose of the job is manage HR issue and activities at Local level, based on decision taken by School Director in line with Headquarter, HR strategies and guidelines. This will include: planning and staff acquisition (recruiting and internship), staff training and development; management of payroll and administrative issues; labour contract activities.

Key purpose of the role

  • To support School Director in identifying a yearly hiring budget in agreement with Group HR Director,
  • To manage an efficient and in time recruitment/hiring activities and internal mobility, in order to support School Director in identifying candidates fitting with Company Values and Departments’ needs
  • To verify with School Director the probationary period of specialist employees (specialist role)
  • To identify and implement training and development plans that support employees professional competences growth in accordance with HR Group giudelines
  • Support the academic department related to evaluation tutor system
  • To  support School Director related staff review process  (specialist role)
  • To assure the staff contracts always in compliance with local law and regulations
  • To implement and ensure compliances with policies and procedures  defines locally and at Group Level
  • To manage and verify payroll process
  • To prepare properly the monthly report
  • To facilitate the employee relations with the right approach and to assure a constructive and collaborative social climate
  • To provide a good support to School Director in retaining and developing a high quality team within the School, giving competent and potential resources to international Istituto Marangoni projects
  • To interview dismissal employees (specialist role) and made an analysis related the motivation
  • To work with the School Director and HR Group Director to develop solutions to enhance Country organisation model

Education and skills

  • Degree Level, Master o nice to have
  • 3 – 5 years experience as HR Business Manager / HR Generalist in complex and structured organisations
  • Experience in HR & Employment Law area
  • Payroll experience is nice to have
  • Knowledge of IT systems and their application in an HR environment
  • Fluent English, Italian language and French language nice to have
  • Proven ability to build internal relationship
  • Strong attitude to interpersonal relationships and communication
  • Result orientation and leadership, problem solver with speed and pragmatical approach, precise attitude, good feeling with data
  • Ability to work under stress and team player
