At Wired Next Fest 2019 to talk about fashion and future

Always at the forefront of trends and innovation, Istituto Marangoni takes the stage of Wired Next Fest 2019 as the exclusive education partner of Wired Italia, with a talk and a workshop dedicated to fashion movies and the future of communication in the fashion world.

On Sunday 26th from 3.30 pm to 4.00 pm Angelo Ruggeri, journalist and tutor of the schools in Milano and Firenze, talked about fashion films and the evolution of storytelling in the era of YouTube with the “Video-ization: from fashion movies to the universe of Youtuber” talk. With him, on the stage, there was special guest Luca Finotti, Film Director of viral fashion videos. As well as having directed commercials for the most important international fashion brands, Luca is the winner of Best Director for his film Versace Manifesto at the Cinemoi Film Festival 2018, while his #WeBelieveInThePowerOfLove project created for Nike was broadcast and highly recognised in more than 25 international film festivals.

Angelo and Luca discussed the increasingly synergistic relationship between the world of fashion and that of social media: from fashion films that tell ADV campaigns, fashion houses and the protagonists of the fashion system, to Youtubers, now prominent protagonists of the current storytelling.

On the same day, from 16.30 to 17.30, visitors had the opportunity to take part in the #WannabeFilmDirector workshop, experiencing all the phases of making a fashion movie, from the briefing with the creative director to the realization of the final script.
