functional vs non-functional: the istanbul contest
Interconnection – forms & functions is the title of an exciting creativity contest of art and design promoted in Istanbul by Istituto Marangoni with the Kadikoy Municipality (Istanbul) and Firenze Yurtdışı Eğitim. Inspired by the idea of fusing functional and non-functional, the contest is open to young artists, designers and fashion designers, invited to submit a project of either a functional object, garment or accessory with a non-functional reinterpretation; or of an artistic, non-functional creation transformed into a functional item.
Participants shall submit their works to the address firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Tuesday, March 15th.
The winner will be awarded with a 100% scholarship (excluding accommodation) to attend one of the short courses offered in Italy by Istituto Marangoni, with intakes between the end of June and September 2016.
