IM Students’ Collections at Shanghai Fashion Week
Istituto Marangoni will participate in the forthcoming 2017 Shanghai Fashion Week. As many as 15 young designers from the Shanghai Fashion Training Centre will showcase their collections on April 13th, 2017, alongside acclaimed fashion designer Maurizio Pecoraro, who has been recently appointed as International Fashion Chair of the School and Istituto Marangoni alumnus.
Shanghai Fashion Week, which will run from April 7th to 9th, 2017, is emerging as China’s most globally-minded fashion event, with the merit of having successfully adjusted the local market to international standards since its first inception in 1998. This is coinciding perfectly with the format Istituto Marangoni’s educational system, that is amongst other things to allow the School’s young talents to express the values learnt during their training period at The Shanghai Fashion Training Centre and the respect for cultural diversity while regarding the standards of Made in Italy excellence.
Zhou Sisi, Miao Yuhang, Deng Jiaying, Lin Yun, Du Tingyu, Zhou Min, Wu Ping, Xu Chengbin, Yang Wenjun, Dong Hezi, Lyu Jing, Du Shiwei, Lin Haitao, Yu Ying, and Zhang Xiaoqiao are the 15 newly graduated fashion designers selected to stage the 2017 Shanghai Fashion Show, with the opportunity to get international exposure with the press, opinion leaders and representatives of major fashion companies in China.
A special guest will be leading IM young talents on the catwalk. Designer Maurizio Pecoraro who has been running his own namesake label since 1998, will showcase the FW17/18 collection presented during the latest edition of Milano Moda Donna, as a tangible sign of the new collaboration with the School, which is constantly committed to supporting its most skillful alumni and make their talent shine.
