lapo elkann presents italia independent

March 10th, 2014. Lapo Elkann remarked on the success of Italia Independent to the Fashion Business three-year course students at Istituto Marangoni Milano.

This event is the first in a long series of meetings with the gurus of fashion and style. For the students of Istituto Marangoni, such meetings are important opportunities for dialogue and growth, and for this reason every year the Fashion School in Milan offers a packed schedule of meetings with top fashion companies, both Italian and international.

Lapo Elkann, Chairman of the Italia Independent Group, a brand of lifestyle products founded in 2008, supported by the CEO of the group, Andrea Tessitore, told the students of Istituto Marangoni Milano how he managed to reinterpret the classic icons of ‘Made in Italy’ in order to reinvigorate lifestyle products, that span numerous sectors and are successfully exported to 72 countries.

The mission of Italia Independent arises from the need to renew ‘Made in Italy’ by adding innovation to tradition through a mix of skills, creativity, passion and confidence in the team work. Lapo Elkann said: “The success of Independent Italy belongs to the 100 people who work there with me every day.”

Lapo Elkann and his brand were the first in a long series of guests invited by Istituto Marangoni to reveal the secrets of their personal “success formula”. Through these seminars, Istituto Marangoni Milano offers important opportunities for reflection and analysis to its young talents, giving them the chance to enrich their training.
