Fashion photographer Mariano Vivanco gave a talk for the students of Istituto Marangoni London on 21st October, 2015. His enthralling visit to the London Campus set out the framework within which he has operated over the years pursuing his passion for fashion photography, which has made him internationally recognized as one of the leading professionals in the industry.

Originally from Peru, but currently living between London and NYC, Mariano Vivanco has become one of the world’s leading editorial photographers, regularly shooting for major magazines such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, and GQ. His meeting with the students at the London School of Fashion has allowed Istituto Marangoni young talents to take a close look at the world of fashion photography from a professional perspective.

Featured in the list of the Top 500 people shaping today’s global Fashion industry in 2013, and author of several books of nudes and portraiture, Mariano talked about his successful career as a fashion photographer, the special qualities and inspirations for his approach to fashion and portrait photography, and his work with international fashion magazines, designers, supermodels, and celebrities. The talk was followed by a Q&A session with the speaker, for students to get unique insights into the artist’s principles of pure photography applied to fashion and style.
