ovs f4yg · dafne maio is the winner

Miss Dafne Maio, a young designer who graduated from Istituto Marangoni in 2012, has been selected for the second round of OVS # Fashion for Young Generations, a project dedicated to young talents in fashion. In collaboration with Alberto Aspesi she will create a collection of quilted jackets that will be distributed and sold in 120 OVS shops in Italy, Russia and online at OVS.it.

“I do believe in this OVS project.” Mr Alberto Aspesi said. “It is a real response to the issue of young people who want to work in fashion and it offers them the opportunity to not only design a collection, but above all to see it realised and distributed in shops. I was pleased  to accept to act as a “tutor” for Dafne Maio, a student from Istituto Marangoni in Milan, to create a collection of quilted jackets.”

The collection will be presented on October 26th and it consists of three ultralight nylon and thermore stretch models of quilted jackets for women and two for men.

Istituto Marangoni Group Managing Director, Mr Roberto Riccio stressed that “This initiative by OVS, who wants to invest in young people and to encourage them to become active participants in the labour market, is an important example of how businesses could stand out by giving opportunities to young people. Thanks to its various projects and workshops, Istituto Marangoni has always offered its students the opportunity to get in touch with fashion companies by applying in the real world what they have learned in the classroom”.
