IMFT 2015 · 3rd edition
Istituto Marangoni Faculty Training
your opportunity for an international experience
In occasion of the celebration of its 80th anniversary in 2015 and after the success of its 2nd edition, Istituto Marangoni has decided to offer a third special international opportunity for its alumni from all over the world. They must have at least 3 years industry experience in the field of fashion to become the new generation of qualified Istituto Marangoni teachers through the IMFT (Istituto Marangoni Faculty Training).
IMFT is a one-week course, free of charge to alumni that will enable the super-selected attendees to start, alongside their profession, a part-time academic career within the Istituto Marangoni schools. The best of them will be given the opportunity as a teaching assistant to shadow an experienced tutor for 1-month, in the school where they have chosen to do the IMFT course. Then an 8-week teaching block for IM will follow as their first experience supported by a Tutor-Mentor. Subsequently the successful young teachers will be offered a 6-month academic career as a teacher at the new Istituto Marangoni Shanghai Training Centre @ Plaza 66.
The career prospects will see the young teachers returning and bringing the Asian fashion experience back with them to influence their teaching within the Istituto Marangoni schools in Europe, and poised to be pioneer teachers for Istituto Marangoni in the future schools in development around the world, forming the fashion professionals of the future.
The intake of the IMFT 2015 course will start in May, 2015 in Shanghai at the Fashion Training Centre and will be open to the alumni of fashion.
If you think that fashion and design can be taught and that you can be our ‘perfect’ future teacher then please be so kind to submit your application with all the requested documents by April 10th, 2015.
A special academic panel will be convenient to look at all the applications individually to make their selection.
Applicants will receive a final response by April 17th, 2015.
