the 2016 degree show
On July 14th, the much awaited Degree Show officially opened at Istituto Marangoni Milano The School of Design. The show presents to the public the best projects created during the academic year 2015/16 by the students of Interior Design, Product Design, Visual Design and from The School of Fashion.
On display, the most original projects developed thanks to the collaborations of the two schools with some of the most prestigious Italian firms, a "learning by doing" approach that is a cornerstone of the education provided to students.
Attention to detail and passion for research and experimentation are among the most notable elements of the many projects presented, some of which have already been displayed at the last Salone del Mobile in Milano. Among them, the new washbasins of Ceramica Flaminia, the bathroom accessories leading Italian brand, designed by the students of the Master's course in Italian Product Design supervised by Giulio Cappellini, art director of the school; the projects of textures realized by the students of the Visual & Multimedia Design for the iconic Tube lamp by Alessandro Mendini for Slamp; and Hyper-Ethereal and Pagh, the two projects by Matteo Agati that won the Rado Star Prize Italia 2016 and the international design contest Sit Down!, respectively. Last but not least, the portfolios by Clarissa Castrovilli, Federica Folino, and Yihuran Ran of the course in Fashion Design.
The Degree Show is an intense creative journey, expression of the students' cultural diversity and a unique occasion of international visibility to the creativity and talent for Istituto Marangoni's students.
The Degree Show is opened to public on July 15, 18, and 19 from 9am to 7pm at Istituto Marangoni The Milano School of Design at 24, via Cerva.
