On the eve of the opening of Pitti Uomo, one of the most iconic fashion and lifestyle event for menswear, Istituto Marangoni Firenze presented the ten most talented graduates of Fashion Design and their first collections, during an open-air fashion show that will hardly be forgotten.
For the very first time, Istituto Marangoni Firenze dressed up the prestigious Via dei Tornabuoni for a unique celebration of talent. The fashion street, home to the best international luxury brands, turned into a catwalk, enclosed in a beautiful garden-like setting, where the best designers of the school showcased their final collections, the result of three years of hard work and dedication.
The event brought together not only some of the most famous names in the fashion world, such as Ermanno Scervino and Sara Sozzani Maino, but also some of the most famous fashion and lifestyle influencers, such as BryanBoy and Catherine Poulain. Special guests, press and passers-by applauded the unique creations of the students and enthusiastically welcomed the announcement of the Designer of The Year, a title that this year has been awarded to the designer Jinyang Mana.
The outfits that showcased on the open-air runway ranged from the sensually military woman of Mariagrazia Abbagnale (Guise collection) to Costanza Brunelli's creations inspired by the Danish philosophy of "Hygge", relaxed and essential (A Danish Hug); from futuristic cartoon-style garments by Pierluigi De Mita (Futura) to those inspired by the disconnected paths of women's work (The Staircase of Success by Laura Gacci); from the bipolar collection, poised between childhood and gloom by Simona Huang (INSIDE) to the asymmetrical vintage concept by Jinyang Mana (Counter-Flow); from the distorted lyric of Cheng Song (Vagabond Poet) to the architectural inspiration of Annarita Stanganelli (Harmony & Beauty); from the dystopian femininity of Liting Zang (Individual) to the compositions for contrasts of Susanna ShuTing Zhu (Coalasceed).
