the school of design for bisazza
The students in the Surface & Textile Design Master’s Programme of Istituto Marangoni the School of Design in Milano have developed different curricular projects concerning the design of a new pattern for Bisazza, a world leader in the production of glass mosaics for the decoration of interiors and exteriors.
In line with Istituto Marangoni’s teaching method, which provides direct contact with selected partner companies, participants in the Master's Course have had the chance to discover the Bisazza universe by visiting the company’s premises and working on a highly detailed brief based on the Brand’s actual needs.
After an accurate stylistic research, the seven international students involved in the project developed a number of decorative proposals, all resulting from different cultural backgrounds. Finally, they submitted their work to Bisazza Head of Communications Rossella Bisazza in person, and Cristina Morozzi, Director of Education of Istituto Marangoni School of Design.
“Entering Bisazza’s world, where contemporary languages blend with accuracy and top craftsmanship, has been a fascinating experience for the participants in the Surface & Textile Design Master’s Course. Students have interpreted the brand with an original approach, proposing impressive patterns, consistent with the brief provided by the Company” said Cristina Morozzi, Director of Education of Istituto Marangoni School of Design.
