The Mumbai Fashion & Design Training Centre offers a wide range of courses in the fields of fashion and design, bringing experienced professionals into the classroom to teach & share their knowledge and valuable experience. Trainees enjoy the locations and atmosphere of state of art buildings in the beating heart of this important city: the premium Ceejay House in Worli, South Mumbai, one of the most high-end luxury residential micro-markets in Asia.
All courses are project-led and teaching is task driven with group activities supported by lectures, workshops and subject specific presentations by leading professionals in the field. If trainees have little or no previous experience, but would like to become familiar with some of the key disciplines in the industry, or in a specific area, they can choose from a variety of study options to suit all preferences.
Each course allows trainees to grasp the key principles and notions of their chosen subject, or move onto more intense study schedules, providing experience in the magical worlds of fashion, art or design. Short courses are also offered as the perfect ’taster’ or introductory course, meanwhile executive short courses offer trainees the chance to discover a more advanced level of expertise.
The two-year Fashion Design Programme provides participants with the techniques to design and create menswear or womenswear, while responding to changing needs in the international fashion and luxury industries.
The two-year progressing course in Fashion Styling provides participants with the principle techniques in contemporary image creation covering the international worlds of luxury, fashion and publishing.
This two year progressing course provides participants with a strategic and market oriented blend of the main perspectives in Fashion Business; looking at business models, operation strategies, marketing, pricing & finance.
This two-year course provides a broad education enabling participants to explore and experience the exicting world of comtemporary interior design. Starting from basic drawing skills for design, alongside the use of colour, fabrics, and materials, participants move on to discover more advanced technical drawing skills.
The Product Design programme covers a mix of applied manual, technical and digital design skills (technical drawing, 3D modelling, visualisation and prototype development), combined with a holistic approach in the journey towards design project development; working individually and in teams nurturing and developing creative talent in design processes, methods and final product realisation.
This dynamic 9 months postgraduate programme equips participants with the creative skills and professionalism demanded by the global fashion system, with outstanding links to industry.
