What a beautiful (Mid)journey

A few days ago, I was sitting with some ‘old-school’ fellow journalists – to be clearer, those who started their careers working for print publications because the web and social networks did not exist yet. They were all outraged about how AI is entering our private lives and professional careers. “Soon, there will be no more work for journalists because chatbots like ChatGPT will completely replace human writers,” they said. Or again, “Midjourney will create all fashion collections, thus surpassing designers with their creativity.” They seemed particularly worried.

I thought about it for a few hours and came to this conclusion: we must necessarily change our point of view and perspective to realise that artificial intelligence is becoming an increasingly serious tool to support our creativity and writing. How can artificial intelligence enhance our projects? Well, we can use it for quick research, more or less in-depth, depending on the input given to the program, on a topic we want to cover or to develop, for example. And artificial intelligence – faster than any human or Google search – will help us without a second’s hesitation. All we have to do is check the sources. And that’s it!

AI should be viewed as a tool for human evolution, not as a threat or oppression. I use it frequently. Seeing is believing.
