Textile Project

27 Oktober 2016
TEILEN
Istituto Marangoni, MaxMara and The Woolmark Company partnership gave birth to the TEXTILE project with selected Istituto Mrangoni’s students among the graduates of the three-year course in Fashion Design: Celeste Chiaramonte, Lucia Sanjust Di Teulada, Carlotta Ferrari, Immacolata Greco, Marzia Lombardo, Shames Michael Lutchmiah, Martina Micci, Yu Yao and Yu Yue. Students have the opportunity to see their outfits produced with at least 90% of wool. All this to make these future talents understand the value of quality raw materials in order to achieve successful collections. Max Mara, along with Istituto Marangoni’s teachers,  helped the students both in the tissue research phase and in the creation of the final outfit through sharing with them the 65 years know-how, while The Woolmark Company introduced them to the deep knowledge of Merino wool and its versatility of use, showing the many qualities of the fiber so to be able to experiment with different approaches. The nine finalists will exhibit a look of their collection inside the Max Mara store in Corso Genova in Milan from 27th to 30th October 2016. On 27th October, during the party thrown for the presentation of the project, will be elected a winner to whom will be granted an internship at Max Mara or Woolmark. The outfits will be displayed with a moodboard that explains the creative idea and the path that led to the final development.
