Giulia Bedoni, Programme Leader for the courses of Fashion Design at Istituto Marangoni Milano The School of Fashion, was invited to take part in 'A New Era – Ideas, Glances and Visions on the Future of Fashion', the workshop organized on December 10 at the Sala Buzzati, in the historic Milan headquarters of the Corriere della Sera, to celebrate the new issue of Amica International: the bilingual collector's magazine published by RCS. "Our students approach new technologies more in terms of communication, rather than new materials. Today there are more possibilities than in the past to share their ideas, drawings, creations, and to reach possible customers or audience, through the social networks. For example, in China some students started to sell their collection right after the fashion show through Wechat, and this is a big chance for the new generations that may open new channels of selling available for whom does not yet have a retail chain" says Giulia Bedoni. Following the opening speeches of Emanuela Testori, Editor in Chief of Amica, and Carlo Capasa, president of the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana and co-founder of Costume National, web editor, blogger and Amica journalist Silvia Paoli moderated 'The Future of Fashion: Co-Design, Wearable Technology and Big Data', a round table on the future horizons of fashion among art, technology, design, and architecture. On the panel with Giulia Bedoni were Mario Dell'Oglio, president of the Camera Italiana dei Buyer della Moda; Barbara Franchin, founder of ITS International Talent Support; and Giuseppe Grandinetti,  global head digital marketing manager of VIBRAM. Attended also, among others, by fashion designers Alessandro Dell'Acqua, Marco De Vincenzo, and Arthur Arbesser, the workshop explored the most relevant fashion business topics and future prospects through an extensive debate involving fashion insiders and a large group of students.
