There is a great anticipation for the end of the academic year at Istituto Marangoni Schools of Fashion, which will be celebrated, as always, with a Graduate Fashion Show for the most talented final-year students of the fashion design course at the Milano, Paris, London and Florence campuses. Istituto Marangoni will reward its most deserving students with the opportunity to showcase their collections to an international audience of journalists and industry professionals, upholding the school's 80-year-old and ongoing commitment to the promoting and enhancing its talents. The series of events and initiatives will open in London on June 7, starting at 6 pm, with The 2017 London Fashion Show. The 10 best students from the London campus will showcase their own capsule collections, each consisting of 6 outfits, within a unique venue: Christ Church, a 17th-century Anglican cathedral situate on Commercial Street. London E1 6LY, in the Borough of Tower Hamlets. June 13 will be the turn of Florence, with a Fashion Show dedicated exclusively to menswear fashion. The event will take place during the IM Day in Florence, as part of the official calendar of Pitti Uomo. At 4:30 pm, on Via dei vecchietti 5, in the halls of the former Bank of Rome, 5 students from Milan, 3 from London and 2 from Paris will present the 6 looks designed for The Istituto Marangoni Best Menswear collections fashion show. In Florence, Istituto Marangoni is sponsoring two other important events devoted to as many worthy IM Alumni. Jeetinder Sandhu, Indian menswear fashion and shoe designer, Istituto Marangoni London graduate, will present his shoe collection featuring vibrant colors, attention to detail and eloquent prints, designed in the pursuit of a perfect balance between the western and eastern world of fashion. At 7:00 pm, the catwalk will feature a presentation of the SS18 Downhill Hardcore Luxury collection signed Plùs Que Ma Vìe, a brand founded in 2013 by former IM student Andrea Lazzari with the aim of combining sportswear and high-tech Made in Italy fabrics with a more formal clothing style. In Milano, the Graduate Fashion Show will be held on June 20, 2017, at 7:30 pm, at the Teatro Vetra, a prestigious modern and multifunctional location in the city center. Paris will close the fashion shows cycle on July 4, with The 2017 Paris Fashion Show. The Garage, located right inside the School of Fashion in the French capital, will frame the presentation of the 6 outfits for each of the 10 selected Paris students. Istituto Marangoni’s mission is to grow new talents. The Graduate Fashion Shows are key moments in the enhancement of a new, promising, generation of designers.
