Istituto Marangoni talents will grace the catwalks of the upcoming Milano Moda Donna week, scheduled from 19 to 25 February. Many Alumni are ready to display the culmination of their remarkable research and design efforts, driven by an inexhaustible passion that was developed in the classrooms and the labs of the historic School of Fashion in Milano, becoming protagonists on the world stage of international fashion.

One of the main fashion hubs for Istituto Marangoni’s talents will be Palazzo dei Giureconsulti in Piazza dei Mercanti, where ambitious fashion designers from the School are going to appear in some of the many scheduled events.

Among these, Martina Cella, the winner of the Next Generation 2014 contest, will confirm her status as an emerging designer at the show scheduled for the afternoon of Wednesday 20 February. Thursday will see a presentation of the work of Harunobu Murata, a promising emerging talent who graduated with a degree in Fashion Design from the School of Fashion in Milano in 2001, while the weekend will start off with the unveiling of San Andrés Milano, a refined collection designed by Mexican fashion designer Andres Caballero, a staunch supporter of the Made in Italy tailoring tradition.

Three former Istituto Marangoni students have been selected as emerging brands by the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana for the eighth edition of Fashion Hub Market. Emma Raphaelle Rotenberg, founder of the Rowen Rose fashion brand, Angelia Corno, a witty and contemplative alumna and owner of the brand Angelia Ami, and the Indian designer Dhruv Kapoor, founder of the eponymous brand devoted to the sophistication of streetwear, will present their collections as part of a larger show for up-and-coming fashion stars.

When it’s fashion week in Milan the city becomes one big fashion show, with presentations, catwalks and events in every corner of town. Moschino’s fashion show – in memory of one of Istituto Marangoni’s legendary Alumni – will close the day on Tuesday 19 February, the confirmed line-up on 20 February includes Alberto Zambelli’s show set in the beautiful Scalone Arengario in Piazza Duomo. The former Milano School of Fashion student will hit the catwalk with a collection inspired by the sea and its movement. A ‘back to the essentials’ display of Ricostru outfits will be held on the same day; the brand, founded in 2011 by IM alumna Manchit Au, combines elegance, a wide range of materials and refined details.

On 21 February alumna Gilda Ambrosio, listed among Forbes’ most influential celebrities under 30, will present the looks of the Attico collection, the brand she co-founded in 2016. On Friday the 22nd, the daring Colombian fashion designer Laura Aparicio will make her debut at the Milan Fashion Week with a show at the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum, while on Saturday, Carolina Castiglioni’s Plan C collection is set to be displayed on Via Visconti di Modrone; next, Andrea Brognano’s romantic-casual style will grace the stage on via Turati, and also the sparkling accessories collection presented by Paula Cademartori, a brand that's already well-known in the fashion world, will be showcased on Via San Marco.

To wrap up the full week, Francesco Alagna’s Comeforbreakfast collection will be revealed on Sunday the 24th, in a location that has yet to be announced and, to conclude, in his new role as creative director of the Chinese brand VGrass Studio, IM alumnus Rodolfo Paglialunga will officially present his new line during a dedicated event at Palazzo Serbelloni on Corso Venezia.
