For the second consecutive year, a young talented student of Istituto Marangoni is among the winners of Milano Moda Graduate, the event organized by Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana in collaboration with Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda, to promote the excellence of Italian fashion schools.
The award went to Praeploy Sooksawee, a newly graduate of the three-year course in Fashion Design at Istituto Marangoni The Milano School of Fashion. The 22 years-old Thai won the hearts of the jury with “Disguise”, her Spring Summer 2017 women's collection inspired by Kimo-Kawaii, the Japanese expression for a negative concept that looks pleasant on the outside.
Chosen among the students of the eleven fashion schools that took part to the Milano Moda Graduate, Praeploy won a training internship at Missoni – an award confirming one of the main objectives of the event, that of offering to young designers the chance to join the world of fashion working in companies of great international prestige.
Moreover, on June 30 thirty-three graduating students of the Fashion Design course of Istituto Marangoni The Milano School of Fashion presented their work at the traditional and much awaited end-of-the-year Fashion Show. Winner of the Milano School of Fashion Designer of the Year award, the Russian student Vladislav Krivdin, who got the unanimous vote of the jury, made of teachers and executives of the school, with “Street Cyb”, his original and well-balanced Spring Summer 2017 men's collection.
The two awards come as a confirmation of the creative talent and excellent preparation level achieved by the students of Istituto Marangoni, who have seized with great enthusiasm and professionalism the important opportunities of international visibility offered by Milano Moda Graduate and the end-of-the-year Fashion Show.
