The end-of-the-year Degree Show of Istituto Marangoni • The London School of Fashion, has been a special event for the graduating students of the Fashion Business and Fashion Styling courses. Infact they presented their projects to the public – an ideal showcase of their talent as well as of the craftmenship techniques and skills learned during their educational pathway.
The ukrainian Alina Boiko won the award for Best Student in Fashion Business, thanks to her project “Galantereya – sustainable leather business in Russia”, an articulate and detailed business plan analysing in depth the future perspectives of Galantereya, a leather firm based in Karaganda, Kazakhstan.
In particular, she drew her attentions to finding the best way to fill the market gap for high quality leather goods now existing in the region, feeding the demand with sustainable and highly customized products for fashion brands and final consumers alike. The business plan covers every step of the company's expected activity: from the initial research on the target to the product development, with special focus on the ethical aspects of leather manufacturing; to shipping and warehousing, marketing and distribution; showing the author's sharp knowledge and original vision of the business.
