Brooke Elizabeth Bartley, a third-year student in the Fashion Design programme at Istituto Marangoni Firenze, won the Visibility Award for her outstanding project submitted for the DuPont™ Tyvek® Design Award by Desall contest.

This recognition highlights Brooke's exceptional creativity and innovative approach to design with an official certificate of recognition, visibility on official Tyvek® media and media partner platforms, and the opportunity to connect with well-known brand partners for potential business opportunities.

DuPont is a world-renowned chemical company with a rich history of innovation, resulting in revolutionary products such as Nylon, which was born in 1935 in one of their laboratories.

In collaboration with Desall, a leading Italian company in digital services dedicated to innovation and participatory design, DuPont has launched the Tyvek® Design Award 2023, a global competition for designers, artists, and creatives, challenging them to design and prototype new creative applications for DuPont™ Tyvek®, a 100 per cent synthetic material with properties that combine paper, film, and fabric that can resist water, abrasion, bacterial penetration, and ageing.

Brooke's project, Digitopia, explores the interplay of light and shadow, with a collection that embraces intricate, digitally processed designs that offer a new perspective on the intersection of design and technology. Inspired by the marine world, Brooke draws parallels between the uncharted territories of the ocean and the mysteries of the digital world, underscoring the feelings of uncertainty, wonder and tranquillity that both environments inspire.

Istituto Marangoni Firenze takes pride in supporting talents like Brooke with projects that stimulate students' creativity and provide them with professional opportunities and visibility.
