I’M Firenze Digest
I'M FIRENZE DIGEST, the brand-new creative hub and student journal of Istituto Marangoni Firenze, is now online. A project designed to give space to different contents reflecting the DNA of the School, through a story made up of interviews, news, reviews, articles and multimedia contents.
Today, the keyword to describe the core of our contemporary visual culture is cross-pollination. Interactions between art and fashion are now instrumental to any new discourse or research of an experimental nature. Artists and designers today are not only exchanging ideas, but also platforms, media, and audiences worldwide.
Therefore, the magazine of Istituto Marangoni Firenze • The School of Fashion & Art, could not look elsewhere to find its focus and guide its students. Such editorial interest on interdisciplinarity will help them study and experience this everchanging cultural environment from the inside: a new panorama where disciplines are merging, new technologies are shaping our future, and cultural knowledge is always the key to success.
I’M Firenze Digest aims to be a place for exchange where students from the School’s different departments can meet and collaborate, while building stronger bridges between disciplines and backgrounds. This drive towards an interdisciplinary approach is reflected in the main subjects covered by the magazine, focusing on the dialogue between art, fashion, and new technologies, articulated in the Journal, Portfolio Archive, and Digital Exhibition Space sections.
The Journal, written by an editorial staff composed of students, is dedicated to the digital Renaissance of contemporary visual culture: a tool to investigate and talk about interdisciplinarity and new technological evolutions in the world of art and fashion.
The Portfolio Archive hosts a selection of the best student researches, representing the uniqueness of the School, and the Digital Exhibition Space is a digital place created to host the projects of Istituto Marangoni Firenze’s students and tutors.
