Istituto Marangoni Firenze together with Locman for a special Industry Project

A group of students from the Fashion Business Digital Marketing Intensive and Fashion Design Intensive courses recently collaborated on the project promoted by Locman, a famous watch brand from Isola d’Elba. The students, hailing from different areas of the fashion industry, worked together to foster creativity and develop innovative strategies.
The Fashion Business and Digital Marketing Intensive students were tasked with analysing the brand’s history, market and competition, as well as defining local and international market targets. An in-depth knowledge of the communication channels currently used by Locman was also required. The aim of the project was to develop an innovative communication strategy that leverages omnichannel experiences to create an appealing campaign for contemporary consumers.
Fashion Design Intensive students analysed the brand's products and competitors, defining local and international targets, and understanding the company's goals. Fashion Design students were tasked with creating a capsule collection that aligned with the brand identity, including new patterns, prints and packaging.
The students had the opportunity to meet the entire Locman team at their headquarters on Elba Island. This visit allowed the students to deepen their knowledge of DNA and subsequently to be able to transfer it into their projects, demonstrating creativity and technical skills in the elaboration of all the concepts that were presented in front of the Istituto Marangoni Firenze committee of the Business and Design area together with Andrea Tremolada, Brand Advisor and Locman board member.
The collaboration between the students of the Fashion Business Digital Marketing Intensive and Fashion Design Intensive with Locman highlighted the importance of an interdisciplinary approach in education. The fusion of skills and talent resulted in an exciting and inspiring project with innovative and tangible outcomes. Both students and Locman benefited from the experience, enhancing their preparation and expanding their opportunities in the fashion industry.
