The Re-Connect refuge is a secluded place, a retreat to find inner peace.
The refuge is in the Sella Group, a raw rocky plateau in the Dolomites, that provide inspiration for the internal set up: dark colours and geometric shapes of the externals combine with lighter materials internally. Seven different types of glass provide an interactive experience, evolving with the surrounding light. The furniture here becomes more playful, evoking the fluctuating nature of the occupants' inner selves.
The building provides a powerful contrast between the raw concrete and the finished glass and between the structure and the surrounding environment, reflecting the opposition within each person.
