Applicants interested in applying to Istituto Marangoni are required to meet specific entry requirements that may vary according to the chosen course.

Foundation Course

Required application documents for Foundation Course*:

  • Copy of bank transfer of enrolment fee

Intensive Courses

Required application documents for Intensive Courses:

Three-Year/BA courses

Required application documents for Three-Year/BA courses:

  • Copy of High School Diploma and school certificates, when not in English, an official English translation must be provided
  • Copy of passport or national ID for EU students
  • Copy of bank transfer of enrolment fee 

For Three-Year/BA courses, additional documents for the selection process are required:

For RNCP Diploma*:

  • English Language Certificate Level B1

For BA (Hons) Degree**:

  • English Language Certificate Level B2: Non-English native speakers must provide proof of language skills at B2 CEFR level (IELTS 6.0 without elements below 5.5 or equivalent test or qualification)
  • Skill test: for business related courses it consists of 10 multiple choice questions; for creative courses it consists of 4 multiple choice questions
  • 6 Creative Ideas - for creative courses: they can be anything that visually describes their inspiration and the area of study that applicants have chosen. They can be submitted in the form of sketches, drawings, photographs, moodboards and collages. The 6 creative ideas might also be a mix of these. They can also be a personal reinterpretation of objects, environments, people, situations, etc. or design ideas such as a representation of personal creations such as outfits/fashion collections, objects, furniture pieces, interior spaces, etc. according to the desired course you are applying to. All items must be submitted in A4 or A3 format, in .pdf, .tiff, .jpg, .zip.
  • Piece Of Written Work - for business related courses: 700-word document where candidates identify one emerging trend. Candidates will need to illustrate the emergence of one key trend in the fashion and/or luxury sector. The research should focus on a contemporary issue/trend related to consumer behaviour - such as digital, sustainability, new textiles. etc. The text should be accompanied by visual research and a list of references and be submitted as a pdf file. 

* “France Compétences” (French Ministry of Industry) awards the vocational qualification RNCP (Répertoire national des certifications professionnelles) to all Three-Year courses delivered in Paris Fashion school.

Upon successful completion of the Three-Year course, students will be awarded Istituto Marangoni Certificate and a RNCP Diploma level II recognized by the French Ministry of Industry.

** Students fulfilling the Regent’s University requirements and upon successful completion of the Three-Year course will be awarded a BA Degree validated by Regent's University London in addition to Istituto Marangoni Certificate and RNCP Diploma level II. 

Please note that a student can start the First Year in the RNCP course and switch in Second Year or Third Year to the Regent’s University course if Regent’s University London entry requirements are met.

Undergraduate Semester Courses

Required application documents for Semester in Three-Year/BA courses:

  • Copy of recognized Bachelor’s Degree and transcript, when not in English, an official translation must be supplied
  • Copy of passport or national ID for EU students
  • Copy of bank transfer of enrolment fee
  • Portfolio - for creative programmes

For RNCP Diploma*:

  • English Language Certificate Level B1

For BA (Hons) Degree**:

  • English Language Certificate Level B2: non-English native speakers must provide certificate of language skills at B2 CEFR level with specific requirements (e.g., IELTS 6.5 without elements below 5.5 or equivalent test or qualification) 

Master courses are subject to validation or already validated by Regent’s University London and are awarded a level 7 RNCP Diploma.

* “France Compétences” (French Ministry of Industry) awards the vocational qualification RNCP (Répertoire national des certifications professionnelles) to level 7 courses delivered in Paris Fashion school.

Upon successful completion of the postgraduate course, students will be awarded Istituto Marangoni Certificate and an RNCP Diploma level I recognized by the French Ministry of Industry. 

** Students fulfilling the Regent’s University requirements and upon successful completion of the postgraduate course will be awarded an MA Degree validated by Regent's University London in addition to Istituto Marangoni Certificate and RNCP Diploma level I.
