Alessia Ancillotti is a young and promising fashion designer, winner of the YKK Category of the ninth edition of the Milano Moda Graduate 2023 contest, organised by CNMI.

From a young age, Alessia has been passionate about fashion and various artistic disciplines. She attended art high school, specialising in painting and sculpture and winning a national sculpture competition. During this period, she was also selected for the 2020 Biennale dei Licei Artistici and completed an internship in a restoration workshop in Florence. Subsequently, she attended a BA in Fashion Design & Accessories at Istituto Marangoni Firenze school, which allowed her to explore the world of fashion combined with creativity and art. During her studies she participated in numerous industry projects with brands such as Andrew Paul, DRESSX and BENNU which allowed her to develop capsule collections with new and innovative materials. In 2023, Alessia was selected amongst the best designers of her academic year and showcased at the school's Fashion Show her "Oltre" collection, which focused on overcoming physical and sensorial limits.

Alessia draws inspiration from different disciplines, including art, dance, music, architecture and photography. Her creations aim to bring people to a state of awareness and balance, offering them new perspectives. She focuses on the research of colours and fabrics, experimenting with shapes, prints and manipulations to involve the public on a psychological and perceptive level. Thanks to her creativity and vision, Alessia was announced the winner of the prestigious YKK category, an award sponsored by the eponymous Japanese zip producer as part of the Milano Moda Graduate 2023. The contest is organised by CNMI in recognition of the best emerging designers in Italian fashion schools and, as part of it, Alessia designed an outfit focused on accessories and showcasing how aesthetics and function can coexist.
