Fashion Summer Camp: Fashion Design

This course - designed for young talents - offers a comprehensive introduction to the fundamentals of fashion design Participants will explore essential concepts in the design process, learn basic drawing and illustration techniques, and study current fashion trends. The program also delves into the role of the fashion designer, encouraging students to engage in creative research and develop a personal vision through a blended learning approach.

In the final week, the students apply the skills acquired and present their work, receiving comprehensive feedback.

This course is structured over 2 weeks:

Week 1 – 20 hours

Introduction to fashion drawing and design techniques; foundational principles of developing a fashion collection, including silhouette, color charts, fabric selection, and accessories; focus on materials (different types of fabrics, features and use of each of them);

Week 2 – 20 hours

Exploration of creative research process; analysis of the trend research path; forecasting of the new/upcoming trends (in terms of shape, colors, materials, volumes etc); analysis of how trends shape contemporary collections; creation of a capsule collection

Classes are scheduled as follows:

• Sunday to Thursday: 4 hours per day (from late morning to early afternoon)
