Plus, we’ve experimented with an overwhelming amount of skincare products.
Now, as we look beyond summer, it’s time to spotlight the beauty trends of 2025 that are set to remain through the coming chilly months, according to the experts. Forget playing with Brat-inspired makeup and those violet eyeshadows straight from the 2000s—staples that carried us through last year’s back-to-work season. This autumn marks the emergence of four defining beauty trends that will shape our daily routines.

The skinimalism trend, which combines skincare with minimal makeup for a fresh and radiant look, has firmly taken centre stage and shows no sign of fading anytime soon.
However, downsizing your autumn beauty routine doesn’t mean you have to compromise on effectiveness. Skinimalism is the middle ground between essential makeup and bare-faced beauty, simplifying both your skincare and makeup routines to highlight your skin’s texture.
This movement embraces the “less is more” philosophy, emphasising the enhancement of natural beauty over heavy applications (goodbye, cakey looks!).
The key is to choose products that are effective and multi-functional. Through tinted moisturisers, lightweight serums, soft-toned blushers, and lip products with just a hint of colour or balm, you can achieve that lit-from-within glow. This modern update channels the carefree spirit of the ‘90s while steering clear of the overly flat, ironed look of that era.
