Camille Miceli, Artistic Director of Pucci, in conversation with Istituto Marangoni Firenze

“I love his fantasy. I loved his way of living, he seems to be enjoying it a lot and I'm someone that in my life my enjoyment is more important than anything”. This is how Camille Miceli, the Artistic Director of Pucci, talks about the founder of the historic Florentine brand, renowned for its iconic prints that have made history in Italian and international fashion. This took place in a wonderful discussion organized by Istituto Marangoni Firenze as the first event of their "In Conversation With" series for the new academic year.
Raised in a family where beauty was a constant topic of discussion, with a stylist mother and a father from the world of art, Camille Miceli took her first steps in the fashion world at the age of sixteen. It was Marc Jacobs, then at the creative helm of Louis Vuitton, who became her mentor, inspiring her to never set limits on her creative potential.
Speaking of her career, she said, "I've been fortunate to work for luxury giants like Chanel and Louis Vuitton, and when I worked for these houses, I immersed myself in the brand's identity. The house is the star, and I am here to serve the house and to showcase its DNA and make it shine. While a part of my personality is embedded in it, I always try to take a step back."
She also offered advice to those aspiring to become designers: "Don't compromise. Stay focused and believe in yourself" encouraging students to explore their creativity to the fullest.
The conversation with Camille Miceli is the first of many events that Istituto Marangoni Firenze will organize throughout the year. Stay tuned for more!
