The Art courses at Istituto Marangoni Firenze will have Giuseppe Lo Schiavo as their Mentor, a highly innovative visual artist with numerous projects and collaborations with luxury brands under his belt - including a recent project with Bulgari where he created a series of artwork related to brain and heart activities. Students beginning courses in September in the Art area will have a unique opportunity to learn from his eclectic and innovative talent who constantly pushes the boundaries of contemporary art.

What sets Lo Schiavo's work apart is his unceasing search for a profound connection between art and science. His investigations span various fields, delving into artificial intelligence and machine learning, virtual reality, infrared systems, and even microorganisms in the laboratory.

Giuseppe Lo Schiavo is an artist whose talent has gained international recognition. He recently won the 2021 European BioArt Challenge project, which was organised by the MUSE Science Museum in Italy. Major institutions such as Cardiff University, Zurich University of Applied Sciences, the University of Trento, and the MUSE Science Museum provide support for his cutting-edge research that merges art and synthetic biology.

«For me it's an incredible opportunity as well to meet all the students and be able to share and connect with the new generation of aspiring artists. I can't wait to meet all of them and introduce them to my art and my practice» he told Istituto Marangoni Firenze.

Together with Lo Schiavo, students will have a unique opportunity to learn and be inspired by his eclectic and innovative talent. He continues to challenge the boundaries of contemporary art with his expertise in combining art and science, opening up exciting new perspectives for future students and aspiring artists at Istituto Marangoni Firenze.
