Istituto Marangoni Milano at Denim Première Vision 2026
Istituto Marangoni Milano at Denim Première Vision 2026
Istituto Marangoni Milano will take part in Denim Première Vision 2026, a premier international event dedicated to the denim industry. The school will showcase projects from four students in the
Fashion Design & Accessories and Fashion Design & Innovation programmes,
along with a contribution in the trends area.
The school will present an exhibition space featuring collections and proposals that pay tribute to this iconic, cross-generational fabric. The display will provide an overview of diverse approaches to denim, ranging from garment design to research and experimentation.
A Multi-Stage Collaboration
The collaboration between Istituto Marangoni Milano and the denim-focused fair is part of a multi-stage project developed in partnership with the event’s organisers. Recently, two key events provided students with valuable insights into the industry’s dynamics.
On April 21, Julieta Mercerat from the Première Vision Fashion Team led a session focused on developing fashion directions and relationships with industry partners. On May 8, Fabio Adami Dalla Val explored innovation in both product and process, engaging four exhibitors in the discussion.
A Talk on Tomorrow’s Trends
The participation project of Istituto Marangoni Milano at Denim Première Vision 2026 will also include a talk on May 21 at 1:00 PM in the exhibition’s main area. The session will feature Lolie Bernard, a second-year student in the Fashion Design & Innovation Master's programme, presenting her Trend Book, "What If?", which explores the major contemporary trends identified through her academic research.
When Denim Inspires the Fashion of the Future
The students featured in Istituto Marangoni Milano’s exhibition space explored the many possibilities of this versatile fabric with curiosity and an innovative spirit, resulting in dynamic, creative proposals.
- Sangbeon Chu, alumnus of the three-year Fashion Design & Accessories course, investigates garment construction and the potential of denim for silhouette and layering, with a focus on menswear.
- Maresia Cristini, alumna of the three-year Fashion Design & Accessories course, combines visual research with product development to create pieces defined by fluid, harmonious movement.
- Qimeng Wang, alumna of the three-year Fashion Design & Accessories course, explores intricate applications that enrich and transform denim.
- Alessandro Brienza, a second-year student in the Fashion Design & Innovation Master’s programme, focuses on surface manipulation and harnesses denim as a platform for new stylistic directions.
Encouraging Dialogue with the Industry
Through this initiative, Istituto Marangoni Milano reaffirms its commitment to fostering an ongoing dialogue between education and industry, providing students with opportunities for direct, hands-on engagement in international professional contexts. Participation in Denim Première Vision 2026 extends the academic journey and enhances the research developed within the school.
