Louis Vuitton collaborates with the Florence School
For the third consecutive year, Istituto Marangoni Firenze is proud to collaborate with Louis Vuitton on the Louis Vuitton Accessories Design Graduates Initiative, a project aimed at discovering and nurturing the next generation of accessories designers.
The initiative offers a unique opportunity for emerging talents: the five finalists selected will have the chance to join the Leather Goods and Accessories team at the French Maison.
With its strong identity rooted in the world of accessories and leather goods — supported by specialised programs such as the Master in Luxury Accessories Design & Management — Istituto Marangoni Firenze stands as a natural partner for this collaboration.
The partnership between Istituto Marangoni Firenze and Louis Vuitton stems from a shared commitment to creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation — core values for both institutions.
The Maison is in search of visionary young designers capable of combining design, artisanal skill, and sustainability — a philosophy perfectly aligned with Istituto Marangoni Firenze’s approach, which blends traditional savoir-faire with contemporary experimentation.
To inaugurate this new edition of the challenge, Baron Osuna, LVADGI & Special Projects Manager at Louis Vuitton, met with students from the Master in Luxury Accessories Design & Management and the third year of Fashion Design, sharing expectations, guidelines, and sources of inspiration.
During the sessions, students will present their creative ideas to the Louis Vuitton team, receiving tailored feedback and valuable insights in preparation for the final selection.
Candidates will be evaluated based on criteria such as creative process, design skills, stylistic consistency, brand knowledge, and both oral and visual communication abilities.
The pre-selection phase will run until March, and in April the finalists will be invited to Paris to present their projects to the Louis Vuitton jury.
