In March 1996, Alessandro dell'Acqua debuted his first eponymous collection during Milan Fashion Week, greeted enthusiastically by the press and buyers. The collection immediately found a niche and stood out for its sensual, feminine lines combined with fine fabrics. The first Alessandro dell'Acqua Uomo collection was created in January 1998 and presented during the fifty-third edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo.

The Alessandro dell'Acqua brand grew rapidly, extending its line in 2000 with a women's footwear collection and an Eyewear collection licensed to Allison in 2003.

Alessandro dell'Acqua launched his first women's fragrance licensed with EuroItalia in 2001; in June 2002, in Taormina, he received the prestigious 'Oscar della Moda' Award as Best Womenswear Designer.

Helena Christensen was the face of the 2003 advertising campaign shot by Helmut Newton.

Over the years, he held the role of Creative Director for prestigious fashion houses such as La Perla, Malo and Brioni.

He had many collaborations with the art world and prominent personalities such as artist Vanessa Beecroft, the photographers Jürgen Teller and Helmut Newton, and top models Eva Herzigova and Maria Carla Boscono.

2010 was a year of major changes. After leaving the creative helm of his eponymous Alessandro dell'Acqua line, he infused the experience acquired over the years into the debut of his new project N°21, of which he was the founder and creative mind.

N°21 met with immediate press and buyer success, offering a modern, unmistakable wardrobe with an eye to contemporary trends.

In October 2013, Alessandro dell'Acqua was appointed as Creative Director of the French Fashion House Rochas.

In response to insistent demand from buyers and insiders, the first N°21 Men's collection was presented during the eighty-fifth edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo in January 2014.
