With Dubai’s combination of a deeply poetic, lyrical culture and innovative direction, it not only creates a cosmopolitan vibe similar to New York’s but also an alluring dreamscape unique to this desert city.

Then there’s Al Bastakiya, with its mesmerising alleyways and rich cultural atmosphere. Whether it evokes memories of Aladdin, genies or stories from another era, it offers a truly authentic setting worlds away from the city’s futuristic skyline. The district’s intricate architectural patterns can become an invaluable source material: photograph them, trace them, combine them, and notice how your unconscious mind begins to decipher their complexities and transform them into logos, asymmetric cuts in clothing, or unconventional interiors.

Being a creative in Dubai is really about embracing feeling and the unconscious within the city’s otherworldly blend of innovation and heritage.
