Istituto Marangoni Paris to collaborate with Paris-based Cerruti 1881 with four masters level industry projects
Istituto Marangoni has a long history of promoting and shaping young talent in fashion, design and art. It has been the school’s mission for almost a century to provide superior education supported by top-notch tutors, an international community of fashion & design alumni, and inspiring collaborations with leading global brands.
Next in the line of prestigious industry projects is CERRUTI 1881, a French brand with Italian roots reflecting the school’s European souls and origin. Founded 55 years ago by Nino Cerruti in Paris, the clothing company diversified to include shoes, jewellery, and accessories, parfumes and more to grow CERRUTI 1881 into a lifestyle brand. With a disruptive casual chic concept echoing the latest urban trends, House of Cerruti has captured the spirit of the times, providing a unique style for the modern man blending fine quality, fabric expertise and the daring nonchalance of Parisian Je-ne-sais-quoi.
To reinforce the brand awareness and involve a wider audience of potential customers, CERRUTI 1881 is working on the development of extension lines to be launched either at a global level or as capsule collections for specific country.
In the view of the many future projects of the Parisian brand, the collaboration with Istituto Marangoni Paris talents came naturally as a unique opportunity for both partners.
The collaboration between Isituto Marangoni Paris and CERRUTI 1881 involves four of the school’s Master’s programmes– Fashion & Luxury Brand Management; Fashion Promotion, Communication & Digital Media; Fashion Styling, Creative Direction & Digital Content, and Womenswear Fashion Design – with specific projects designed for each of them.
This collaboration is of special importance for the house. Indeed, it perpetuates the spirit of transmission so dear to Nino Cerruti, and which was commemorated on various occasions since his passing on January 15th.
The assignments, covering the womenswear, footwear and jewellery lines, challenge the postgraduate students to explore new markets and opportunities, define targets and strategies, create innovative digital content and rework the house’s codes into new capsule collections. Fashion design students will also be able to visit the Cerruti design studio to meet the designers for an inspiring picking into the maison creative world.
