In February 2026, the fourth‑year students of the joint Bachelor Degree programmes delivered by Istituto Marangoni and Zhejiang Sci‑Tech University (ZSTU) in the Linping District campus (Hangzhou, China), have travelled to Paris for a unique five‑day Immersive Study Tour dedicated to Fashion Design, Digital Creativity, and Styling.

This experience represents a key milestone in the strategic collaboration between the two institutions, reaffirming their shared commitment to nurturing global talent and offering students direct exposure to the international fashion industry.

A Tailored Academic Experience in the Capital of Fashion

Hosted at Istituto Marangoni Paris campus, the programme combined specialised workshops, hands‑on creative sessions, and exclusive field visits.

Throughout the week, students from both Bachelor Degrees in Fashion Design & Accessories and Digital Media Design worked collaboratively on how to create a 3D video fashion show, developing a virtual runway set inspired by the iconic Palais d’Iéna, and exploring styling, 3D art direction, AI‑enhanced post‑production, and animation.

The course blended creativity, technology, and storytelling, encouraging students to merge their design background with cutting‑edge software such as CLO3D, Unreal Engine, and Blender.

Exclusive Access to Parisian Cultural Landmarks

The Immersive Week included field trips that enriched the academic content, such as Palais d’Iéna, where students explored one of Paris’ most striking architectural spaces, a site regularly used for high‑profile fashion shows and art installations, and Fondation Azzedine Alaïa, where the group visited the exhibition ‘Azzedine Alaïa and Christian Dior, Two Masters of Haute Couture’, featuring nearly 70 rare designs presented through an exceptional curatorial dialogue.

With additional cultural activities—such as access to the Louis Vuitton “100 Years of Art Deco” exhibition —the week offered a panoramic view of Paris’ creative heritage and contemporary fashion scene.

A Testament to an Ambitious International Collaboration

Istituto Marangoni and Zhejiang Sci‑Tech University Fashion Design Joint College was established back in 2022 to provide Chinese undergraduate students with a globally recognised academic pathway combining European fashion tradition with an international design perspective.

Initiatives like the Paris Immersive Week demonstrate the concrete value of this partnership, embedding international mobility into the curriculum while giving students direct exposure to industry environments and professional standards, fostering cross‑cultural collaboration across fashion design, styling, and digital creativity, and granting access to Istituto Marangoni’s global network of campuses and experts.

By experiencing Paris—one of the world’s capitals of luxury, creativity, and innovation—students were able to transform classroom knowledge into a real‑world creative project, gaining skills that will be decisive for their future academic and professional journeys.

“It was a real pleasure to welcome the students of the Istituto Marangoni–Zhejiang Sci‑Tech University Joint Institute to our Paris campus. Hosting such a motivated and talented group in the heart of the fashion capital perfectly reflects the international spirit of Istituto Marangoni. We hope this immersive experience allowed them to fully engage with Paris’ creative energy and to leave inspired—both academically and personally.” — Valérie Berdah-Levy, School Director, Istituto Marangoni Paris.
