ISTITUTO MARANGONI MUMBAI SCHOLARSHIP - JANUARY 2026 INTAKE

India’s rich heritage of traditional crafts is known and used by many designers locally and globally. The new fashion consumers’ ‘wokeness’ demand stories and transparency of the process and are environmentally and socially conscious.

Aspiring students are invited to submit a proposal to preserve and contemporize Indian crafts in a socially and environmentally responsible context.

Your proposal should demonstrate tradition and innovation. We are looking for originality and creativity. Participants should develop their projects by taking an imaginative, problem-solving approach.

THE CONTEST

The projects can be developed in different formats: video animations, PowerPoint presentations, a portfolio of prototypes enriched by music or voice-over, a slideshow/gallery of images, the evolution of their idea in stop-motion, or even a simple video story of the candidate.

The projects must be up to a maximum of 10 slides if it is a PowerPoint presentation, a portfolio, or a gallery.

THE SCHOLARSHIP

The winners of the competition will be awarded up to 30% reduction on the tuition fee (enrolment fee is due) for the Undergraduate, Postgraduate and One Year Intensive Course that will be held at the Mumbai Training Center of Fashion and Design of Istituto Marangoni in Mumbai, starting in January 2026.
