TALENT CONTEST IN PARTNERSHIP WITH VOGUE ITALIA FOR THE COURSES AT THE MILANO SCHOOL
Istituto Marangoni Milano in partnership with Vogue Italia, in order to support and foster new talents, has launched a Scholarship contest dedicated to its undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Fashion Design, Fashion Styling, Fashion Business, Fragrances & Cosmetics and Hospitality.
THE CONTEST
The new contest created by Istituto Marangoni Milano with the creative support of Vogue Italia invites young talents to explore the relationship between fashion and TV series, and their mutual influences.
From the red suit in Casa de Papel, a uniform that cancels social and individual differences, symbol of the revolution and the fight against the system, to the quiet-luxury garments worn by the high-net-worth individuals (HNWI) in Succession, a luxury discreet and artisanal, visual representation of power and social belonging. Euphoria's bold and hypnotic looks become the visual language of Gen Z, a mix of individual expression, vulnerability and empowerment. In Killing Eve, fashion is transformed into a psychological weapon, with outfits as refined as they are lethal that embody the intriguing duality between elegance and obsession. Fashion is a fundamental visual language and medium in TV series. It tells who the characters are, helps to define them, sometimes underlining their contradictions, others, amplifying the message they want to give.
At the same time, TV series have become an infinite source of inspiration for fashion, transforming characters into style icons and launching trends that influence the way we dress and communicate.
