Advay Gupta, I’M Alumnus of the Bachelor’s course in Product Design and of the Master’s course in Product Design for Human-Robot Interaction at Istituto Marangoni Milano Design, is a young product designer and owner of his namesake design studio. Originally from New Delhi, he splits his time and creative energy between Milan and Delhi.
Advay’s academic journey began at Istituto Marangoni Milano Design, where he pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Product Design. Following his graduation in 2024, he chose to further specialize his expertise by attending in 2025 the Master’s program in Product Design for Human-Robot Interaction, exploring the intersection of advanced technology and human-centric design. Advay’s design is defined by a commitment to innovation and a refined aesthetic sensibility. Even before completing his academic studies, he established his own namesake studio, kickstarting his professional career. His work has earned recognition through international design awards, most notably consecutive wins at the Porada International Design Competition in Milan, where he won in 2023 and was runner up in 2024.
In April 2025, Advay debuted three catalogue products at Milan Design Week, created as part of a project in collaboration between Istituto Marangoni and renowned Italian design brands Cappellini and Flaminia. A standout project was a vase developed in partnership with Studio Nendo, Studio Dimore, and Giulio Cappellini.
Advay’s design language draws on the richness of Indian cultural heritage while embracing the structured elegance of Italian design. Through his ongoing practice, Advay continues to explore the relationships between material, form, and narrative.
