Alexia
Ulibarri

Alexia Ulibarri, I'M Alumna of the One Year Fashion Design course at Istituto Marangoni London, is a Mexican fashion designer based in Mexico City, where she founded her eponymous brand, ALEXIA ULIBARRI, in 2009.
After completing a Fashion Design intensive course at Istituto Marangoni London in 2005, Alexia began her career working with the Tata-Naka twins and María Grachvogel. Her debut collection, Dark Romance, launched in 2009, marked the beginning of her enduring participation in Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Mexico, where she has presented over 32 collections. Her designs have also been showcased in Paris, most recently her BERTHE FW24 collection.
Inspired by the stories and personalities of women, Alexia explores the tension between past and present through materials, cuts, and technology, creating garments that come to life when worn. Her brand now spans haute couture, prêt-à-porter, bridal, and accessories, designed from Maison AU in Mexico City and presented internationally through showrooms in London and trade fairs such as Coterie New York.
Her creations have been worn by Alessandra Ambrosio, Heide Lindgreen, and Eugenia Silva, and featured for over eight years at El Palacio de Hierro, a luxury Mexican retailer. She has also collaborated with international brands including Disney, Amazon Fashion, and Air France, celebrating the intersection of fashion, culture, and Mexican identity.
In 2024, Alexia received the Endeavour Award for Mexican Pride, recognizing her creative and entrepreneurial achievements, while in 2025 she will present her newest collection at the Volvo Fashion Week Mexico 2025.
