Diana Villalobos Barrera, Mexican designer imbued with Asian and Latin American cultures who has travelled around the world absorbing styles and influences of the places she has visited on her journeys, is the bold woman behind
Iss Evêglaf, a luxury fashion brand that goes beyond clothing to take international social statements as a concept with the aim of starting debates on important matters and raising awareness.
Her love for cultures and the unknown led her to Shanghai, China, where she completed the
Fashion Design course at
Istituto Marangoni Shanghai Fashion Training Centre; here she also won the
2016 International Designer of the Year Award. She has put her talent to work for small brands in Shanghai and designers from all over the world, also collaborating with leading fashion houses of the likes of
Stefano Ricci,
Orciani, and
Ermano Scervino.
Since she started her fashion brand, whose name is the breakdown of two words – Missive and Eglaf – which totally resemble its Mission and Philosophy, Diana’s designs have been shown all over the world; she’s participated in important events such as
Cosmoprof Hong Kong and
HAUS YOUNIT art exhibition, up to charity events like the fashion shows held in New York to support the research on Angelman Syndrome.
